Why Do We Build for Others and Not for Ourselves?

As part of INDEL 2026, we are pleased to announce the first IEEE PELS Young Professionals (YP) event to be organized within the Symposium program.

Entitled "Why Do We Build for Others and Not for Ourselves?", this special event will bring together students, young professionals, industry representatives, and researchers for a panel discussion focused on engineering entrepreneurship in the Western Balkans. Through an open and interactive conversation, participants will explore the challenges and opportunities of building innovative products and technology companies in the region, followed by an informal networking session.

The event is organized with the support of the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Young Professionals program and aims to encourage discussion on career development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and stronger connections between academia and industry.
